Since the beginning of 2018, Butschi (guitars, vocals), André (bass), Armin (guitars) and Dommi (drums) have been working on original songs in their rehearsal room.
OLYMP emphasize their ambitions to reach the Olympus of the Metal gods by their longtime stage experience in former bands and a recent release of „Olymp“, their self-titled EP.

Gegründet 2005, konnten die Baden-Württemberger MISANTHROPIA aufgrund ihrer gemeinsamen Entschlossenheit und Vision zur Eigenständigkeit relativ mühelos einen völlig eigenen MELODIC HEAVY METAL-Stil entwickeln.

Von Anfang an brachten die Beteiligten vor allem eine große Portion an packender Ausdrucksstärke ein, gekonnt verbunden mit ergiebigem Melodiegespür – griffige Melodien und flüssige Strukturen prägen die vielfältigen Kompositionen daher bis heute.
2007 veröffentlichten MISANTHROPIA ihr Debütalbum „Soul Cancer“, welches für erste breitere Aufmerksamkeit über die Heimat hinaus sorgen konnte.
2011 folgte der zweite Langdreher „Everdark“, welcher eine auf allen Ebenen rundum gereifte Formation präsentieren kann:

Typisch melodramatische Stilmerkmale skandinavischer MeloDeath-Natur sind darauf ebenso herauszuhören wie der erneute Drang nach unbedingter, klassisch-schwermetallischer Individualität.
Ein latent progressiver Touch ermöglicht auf der aktuellen Platte ständig neues Entdecken von zahllosen Facetten in sämtlichen Liedern, was Abnutzungserscheinungen von vornherein ausschließt.
Dass Ausnahmesänger Volker Pusch es einfach blendend versteht, mit seinem breiten stimmlichen Umfang auf der gesamten Klaviatur der Gefühlswelt zu thronen, kann die Spannung in den Kompositionen ganz massiv erhöhen.
Kenner wissen: relativ wenige Metal-Vokalisten sind in der Lage, im ‚Hart-und-zart’-Modus einen solcherlei homogenen, ambivalenten Wohlklang zu erzeugen.
Eine hochgradig eindringliche Sehnsucht nach der eigentlichen Essenz des natürlichen menschlichen Daseins durchzieht ohnehin sämtliche Nummern von „Everdark“, denen es weder an instrumentellem Druck, produktiver Power noch an authentisch umgesetzter, emotionaler Aufrichtigkeit gebricht.
2019 schreiben und feilen MISANTHROPIA nun emsig an neuen, erlesenen Songs für das kommende dritte Album, mit dessen Veröffentlichung und umfassender Wertschätzung 2020 gerechnet werden darf.
Während andere Acts jährlich immer neue Scheiben auf den Markt werfen, um unbedingt mithalten zu können in rasanten Metal-Zirkus-Zeiten, bevorzugt diese Band es, sich doch viel lieber die nötige Zeit zu lassen. Denn: Weniger ist in diesem Fall eindeutig mehr. (Markus Eck)

Based in the Ottawa region, the band was founded in 2015 by two of their frontmen and lifetime friends, Steve O Leff on vocals and guitars, and Ste Vy Leff on lead guitars.
The determined bunch performs powerful, grooving and melodic HEAVY METAL with an very own edge!

Later on, the talented Joel Bilodeau was added to the team on drums, showing some amazing skills and imagination with his wicked Hard Rock background. Bass powerhouse JP Buzzard completed the sworn gang.
Over time, the participants were working on their hard hitting sound ROCKIN‘ ENGINE is known for today.
March 31st, 2019 saw the release of the crispy debut album „Midnight Road Rage“, available on all major platforms.

The perfect fitting and catchy cover artwork was created by Juanjo Castellano. The resulting, intentionally staged memories of Swedish genre pioneers such as Sacramentum and Dissection are certainly not to be dismissed out of hand.
