Italian visionary ALBERTO RIGONI, a dedicated composer and addicted to bass guitar, never stops being creative.

Also being bass player in the bands Bad As (Metal) and The Italians (‚Britalian‘ Pop Rock), the technically accomplished and equally soulful string virtuoso gains rapidly audience in the international music scene for inventive and atmospheric genre-crossing compositions.

ALBERTO RIGONI paints alluring INSTRUMENTAL HEAVY PROGRESSIVE-soundscapes comprehensible to wide varieties of listeners.

ALBERTO RIGONI was also a member of the progressive band Twinspirits, which released three albums.

Famous musicians like Gavin Harrison and Kevin Moore joined his solo project. ALBERTO RIGONI is also co-producer of the Vivaldi Metal project and bassist of Kim Bingham.

The upcoming new solo album with the well framing title „Prog Injection“ shows the refined art of the Italian in absolute perfection.

Jeff Hughell, bassist in Six Feet Under, is featured in the fourth song „Death Stick“ as a special guest.

Established drummer Thomas Lang shows his extensive skills on the kit. He is also well known for his collaboration with music greats such as Peter Gabriel, Paul Gilbert, Glenn Hughes etc.

Alessandro Bertoni provides many atmospheric moments on the keys. Listeners already know his enormously multi-faceted art by participating at musicians like Ric Fierabracci, Craig Blundell and Brett Garsed.

Founded in 2009, MORTAL INFINITY underwent an equally constant and interesting maturing process in which the band incorporated elements from the last Thrash decade before the turn of the millennium. And the fact that diverse, up-to-date Extreme Metal influences are allowed to let off steam unhindered lends the efficient dynamics of the five-piece a remarkably jagged note.

One of MORTAL INFINITY’s other specialties are well-dosed, skillfully sophisticated melodies that can make true genre hits out of some tracks through the catchiness that is achieved.

On April 16th, MORTAL INFINITY presented their new, official single and the music video for the song „Misanthropic Collapse“.

The music video was produced by Schrankenstein Media. The Bavarian band itself presents the thematic background to „Misanthropic Collapse“ as follows:

„Where this passionate and intimate hatred of the self stirs, the urge to self-destruct that rages in some beings, may have different reasons for each person. The result is always the same: if one declares oneself an enemy, one often only has to flee from the environment, away from society, values ​​and morals and into a self-created, gloomy, sad parallel world. Nicht gerade häufig kommt es vor, dass eine Band schon gleich mit der ersten Veröffentlichung einen ganz ureigenen, bezwingenden Stil hervorbringt.

Und die rundum fähigen Frankfurter Spitzenkönner HOLLOWED legen mit ganz gehöriger Songwriting-Klasse sogar noch eine dicke Schippe drauf!

Die fünf kernig dastehenden Hessen, beileibe keine Anfänger, gründeten ihre neue Band 2017 aus den Überresten von Devil’s Pulse. Da Erfahrung also im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes eine große Rolle bei HOLLOWED spielt, klingt der extrem dynamische Output auch so herrlich flüssig und rund.

Anfang Februar 2019 debütierten HOLLOWED saft- und kraftvoll mit der enorm gehaltvollen EP „Shattered“, einem echten Knallbolzen der allerbesten GROOVE THRASH METAL-Art. Bandlogo, Artwork und Musik an sich ergeben dabei eine verdammt gelungene Mischung.

Shouter Veit ‚Fight‘ Lintner, der mit seinem fesselnd-markanten Vortrag nicht nur zunächst an eine gewieft intonierte Mischung aus Holy Moses’ Sabine Classen und Crippers Britta Görtz erinnert, macht voll und ganz Sache. Ob sich Kehlenschinder Fight unsterblich in Alissa White-Gluz verliebt hat, behält er für sich. Fakt ist jedenfalls, dass sein Gesang demjenigen der blauhaarigen MeloDeath-Berühmtheit nicht gerade wenig huldigt. Noch stabil unterlegt mit seiner individuellen, maskulinen Note kehlt sich der Vokalist regelrecht ins eigene Paradies.

Fünf enorm einprägsame, teils sogar echt Hit-verdächtige Power-Nummern werden auf „Shattered“ mit roher Lust zelebriert – und HOLLOWED, ganz in ihrem Element, setzen spielkulturell gekonnt alles auf eine hohe und harte Karte! Dass die Jungs dabei nur gewinnen können, zeigen sie souverän Song um Song.

Auch für stimmige Abwechslung ist hochgradig gesorgt, denn die musikalischen Einflüsse werden hier nicht auf Teufel-komm’-raus zueinander gepresst, sondern alles fließt durchdacht-zweckdienlich in ein herrlich homogenes Kombinat.

Ganz egal also, ob man bei HOLLOWED nun schmissigen Old School 80s Heavy Metal heraushört, modern angehauchten Thrash-Donner vernimmt oder sich an räudiger Death Metal-Abgründigkeit labt, es lohnt jede Sekunde. Schließlich wurde jede noch so kleine Facette von den Urhebern mit perfektionistisch geprägter Liebe fürs klare Detail in den ultra-energischen Gesamtsound von „Shattered“ eingeschliffen.
