Singer Marco Pastorino and his bandmates focus mainly on romantic melodies, surreal atmospheres and chasing rhythms. The futuristically accentuated mixture of the quintet gets rounded off by suggestive backgrounds in the emphasized harmonious soundframe. With a correspondingly high level of imagination, an imaginative journey through time and space is possible.

Guitarist and band founder Valerio Æsir Villa is not only a multi-instrumentalist, he also works out the ideas for the songwriting of VIRTUAL SYMMETRY. This way of proceeding was already proven for the 2016 debut album "Message From Eternity".

VIRTUAL SYMMETRY tied up as next with the rich EP "X-Gate Suite". This 2017 EP is also dominated by all the characteristic contrasting elements that make up the epic face of the completely thought-out songs, which partly take longer time.

With her wonderfully sensitive, seamlessly integrated vocals, Diane Lee, who sings mainly in the Swiss act Lost Journey, ensures highly moody, dreamy moments on it.

The songs were professionally recorded on March 31, 2018 at an enormously atmospheric concert of the formation in the southern Swiss Temus Club.

The represented tracks are characterized by a well weighted balance between melody and technique, with particular attention to conclusiveness. The visitors were able to experience an exciting journey between varied dynamics and touching emotions.

VIRTUAL SYMMETRY cite on "XLive Premiere" world-famous giants such as Dream Theater, Fates Warning, and Evanescence with the same independent devotion and love, as the band also pay homage to the respected work of exceptional musicians like Joe Satriani and Steve Vai.

Unzählige Bands und Protagonisten versuchen sich seit den Anfängen der Stilart BLACK METAL am vielfältigen Thema Okkultismus.

Sämtliche verfügbare Archive derlei uralter, dunkelmagischer Erscheinungen und Ausformungen sind längst gierig ausgeplündert … Überlieferungen, Texte, Formeln und Symboliken sehen sich durch inflationäre Verwendung einer nie dagewesenen Entwertung ausgesetzt.

MAGOTH aber, sich in verschworener Geschlossenheit hermetisch abschirmende Ausnahmegeister, sind durch und durch beseelt, ja, besessen davon, dem Eigentlichen auf den diabolischen Grund zu rücken - für die Beteiligten geht es schließlich um so viel mehr als sich profilneurotisch nur mit ‚Unheilvollem Entertainment‘ zu inszenieren!

Während also '666', das prophetische ‚Malzeichen des Tieres‘ und der über die Jahrhunderte machtvoll-gefürchtete 'Satan' tatsächlich gesellschaftsfähig gemacht worden sind, huldigen MAGOTH in ekstatischer Kult-Manier der überdimensionalen, wahren Ewigkeit des unveränderlichen Kosmos.
In letzterem spielen die sinistren Machenschaften der Pseudo-Weltordner mitsamt ihren kryptischen Geheimniskrämereien nämlich überhaupt keine Rolle.

Und während der in allen prägenden Institutionen dieser Welt omnipräsente Drudenfuß, besser bekannt als Pentagramm, in der Version mit stets nach oben zeigender Spitze nicht nur zum Nationenmerkmal, Militärzeichen und scheinbaren Alltagsmotiv adaptiert wurde, folgen diese vier auserwählten Nordrhein-Westfalen nach wie vor ihrer ganz eigenen Berufung des Schicksals:

Man scheint es bei den Soldaten Satans in Amt und Würden seit der letzten Jahrtausendwende nun immer eiliger damit zu haben, dem Homo Sapiens alles an Menschlichkeit auszutreiben, was ihn je ausgezeichnet hat.

MAGOTH, wissend und ablehnend, rufen die einstige Dystopie mit ihrem zweiten Langspieler wieder ins Gedächtnis - und das als Warnung!

„Once forseen, but yet forgotten“, diesen Slogan lassen MAGOTH fortan überhaupt nicht mehr gelten. Das Album ist künstlerischer Großprotest gegen das bequeme Vergessen und gegen das komfortable Nicht-wissen.

Mögen sie alle, die pyramidal indoktrinierenden Verführer, die schizophrenen Fünfzack-Fetischisten, wahnsinnig gewordenen Verfälscher und zentralgesteuerten Meinungsmacher ihre teuflisch konzipierten Degenerationen auch nach allen Regeln der neuronal konditionierenden Kunst mit Samtklingen in die globalen Hirne stechen, aber garantiert nicht mit MAGOTH!

9.11. - in der Tat eine Zahlenmystik für Fortgeschrittene. Die Platzierung des neuen Releases an diesem provokanten Datum ist als eine der Speerspitzen zu sehen, welche jene vergiftete Herzen wirkungsvoll läuternd durchbohren soll!
Das Dargebotene wirkt wie Selbsterkenntnis vom Feinsten, vorbestimmt fürs Produktivste.

Das neue Manifest des inbrünstigen Schwarzmetallbundes ist in drei richtig spannende Kapitel aufgeteilt:
Vergangenheit, Gegenwart und Zukunft.

Düster-feierliche Ehrensache, dass es auch lyrisch ebenso gehaltvoll wie abgründig, aber philosophisch stets durchdacht und 1:1 reflektiert zugeht.

Die Apokalypse wird seit altersher von so genannten Religionsstiftern bis heute vorhergesagt. Von MAGOTH wird die finale Katastrophe jedoch als nichts Negatives ausgelegt – weil sie einen überfälligen Neuanfang mit sich bringt.

Auch im progressiven Bereich des melodisch orientierten Black Metal-Undergrounds brodelt es heftig heiß, wie OMEGA POINT souverän aufzeigen können.

Diese, stilistisch ganz spezielle Szene erfreut sich also nicht nur allerbester Gesundheit, sondern bringt sogar anhaltend neue Offenbarungen hervor.

Der neue Langspieler "Isolation" hat definitiv das Zeug dazu, um eine breite Vielzahl an Geschmäckern kultiviert zu erfreuen. Kurz nach Jahresbeginn veröffentlichte Gitarrist und YouTuber Michael 'Ristridi' Wöss, welcher OMEGA POINTals Studioprojekt betreibt, das Debütalbum "The Descent". Mangelnde Kreativität plagt den künstlerisch umtriebigen, bayerischen PROGRESSIVE MELODIC BLACK METAL-Visionär absolut nicht.

Besonderheit bei OMEGA POINT:
Musiker aus verschiedenen Genres wurden eingebunden, um zusammen ein neues und vielseitiges Hörerlebnis zu schaffen. So scharte Ristridi bereits für das Debütalbum einige lokale Rock- und Schwermetall-Protagonisten um sich, aus Bands wie Battlecreek, Sektor, Sadistic Sacrament and Counterclockwise.

Zusammen lassen die Beteiligten eine pulsierende, unverbraucht wirkende Klangmischung entstehen, die den Bogen vom Progressive Metal über Melodic Black Metal bis hin zu tosenden Thrash-Gewittern spannt.

Und ebenso vielfältig verhält es sich bei OMEGA POINT auch auf lyrischer Ebene. Die Texte, die von verschiedenen am Projekt beteiligten Künstlern geschrieben wurden, teilen eine gewisse, abgründig-krankhafte Natur. Erzählt wird damit eine ganz eigene Geschichte.

Die dunklen Themen dieses packend intensiven Albums, die aus einer emotionalen Krise hervorgegangen sind, stellen tiefgreifende Kämpfe mit dem Leben dar, die unbedingt zum Ausdruck gebracht werden mussten.

Hatte Chefdenker Ristridi die Drums für „The Descent“ noch selbst am Rechner programmiert, konnte für das aktuelle Werk "Isolation" der US-amerikanische Schlagzeuger Chris Dovas engagiert werden. Bekannt wurde er durch sein facettenreiches Spiel bei der Symphonic Metal-Band Seven Spires. Durch seinen wunderbar dynamisch gestalteten, oftmals überraschend differenzierten Beitrag kann Chris dem neuen Album von OMEGA POINT rhythmische eine ganz eigene, energische Note geben.

Bemerkenswert sind auch die markanten, charakteristischen Vocals auf diesem kraftstrotzenden Langdreher. Egal, ob sie jeweilig solo oder als Duett beziehungsweise als fitte Duellanten zu hören sind, Hauptvokalist Jonathan Rittirsch mitsamt Maximilian Birkl von der Band Counterclockwise agieren fulminant. Beide sorgen mit ihren optimal zweckdienlich genutzten Stimmen für allerlei erhebende Momente. Aufreibende Gesänge, die man einfach nicht vergisst.

Das inbrünstig beschwörende, aber auch melodisch fähige und wandelfähige Organ von Instinktkönner Jonathan geht unweigerlich unter die Haut. Letzteres gilt auch für die mannigfaltig arrangieren Mehrfachgesänge sowie die Chöre, welche "Isolation" zu einem gleichfalls actionreichen wie hochgradig atmosphärischen Gesamterlebnis veredeln.

Insgesamt ist "Isolation" eine außergewöhnlich faszinierende, komplex in ihren Band ziehende Liederkollektion, der man deutlich anhört, dass es den Urhebern nicht darum geht, sich nach außen hin einfach nur bestmöglich darzustellen. Sondern OMEGA POINT erlangen ihre schöpferische Befriedigung einzig in der individuellen, grenzenlosen Selbstverwirklichung. (Markus Eck)
